CALL FOR TEACHERS
The Lake Eustis Museum of Art seeks
qualified, enthusiastic professionals to teach art to children and adults in a museum setting. We collect, teach and
exhibit FINE ART to nurture culture and economic development in our community.
Position
Title: Museum Art Instructor
Term of Employment: Varies.
Contract, freelance or volunteer work.
Reports to : Executive Director
Primary
Duties: Teach art in various
mediums to adults and children, especially to under served communities such as seniors and home schooled children.
Responsibilities:
Provide enriching,
engaging museum-quality classes that foster learning and creativity.
Actively support and
promote the Museum's philosophy, mission, and goals.
Work cooperatively with Museum staff
and volunteers to ensure a successful program.
Qualifications:
Understanding and appreciation of visual arts.
Strong experience as
an artist and or art teacher.
Classroom management skills.
Florida DOE Certification desirable.
Compensation: 60% of total cost of subject taught, not including materials
or registration fee.
