Art & Vision Summer School for 7 - 18-year-olds Art & Vision Summer School is scheduled Thursday and Friday
from July 22, 2010 – Aug. 20, with separate 15-member classes for children from 7 – 12, and 13 – 18, at
Lake Eustis Museum of Art, 200 B East Orange Ave., Eustis, FL 32726. Tuition for the series of 10 classes is $100 per
student due by day one, with some scholarships available. Space is limited so advanced sign-up is required before July 1,
2010. Maitland artist and art teacher Kyle, with experience at Maitland Art Center and Valencia State College, will lead classes. Art & Vision classes are based on the LEMA exhibit, NATURAL RECLAMATION: BYRON WALKER, which opens July 23, and closes
Aug. 22. Walker will be guest instructor for a day.Walker, of Orlando, salvages nature’s leavings of wood, stone,
silica, ore and more. A master of recycling he creates unique sculptures that will inspire the students to develop a new perspective
on the environment and conservation issues, as they, led by LEMA’s professional teacher, build sculptures from
reclaimed materials. “Art & Vision takes art and creativity to another level with life lessons of social consciousness
and ethics built into the greater picture,” says Executive Director Susan Loden. “The classes are ideal for the
home schooled and are scheduled to accommodate public school students to fill in some educational gaps in a unique way.” For more information e-mail LkEustisArtMuseum@gmail.com, or call 352-483-2900.
