INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Lake Eustis Museum of Art interns from high school, college, or univeristies support our staff with a variety of skills and abilities. They learn while doing in a non-profit art museum setting which is focused on art education and exhibiting and collecting fine art to facilitate cultural and economic development in our community.

Intern responsibilities may include:

v  Research projects

v  Computer, video and graphic arts support

v  Assist with mailings

v Assist at opening receptions and other museum events including gallery operation 

v  Photography and scrapbooking

v  Assist with Art Classes and Artist's Talks

       The tasks are not necessarily glamorous or fun, but must be performed to fulfill the museum's mission. Interns learn about operation of a non-profit corporation from museum professionals. Interns are expected to behave and dress professionally with atire that fits the job of the day, whether they are greeting guests or taking out the trash. They arive on time and are required to give two weeks notice before terminating their internship. In return, LEMA documents interns' service and writes letters and other documents that support reliable, deserving interns in their pursuit of education or career oportunities.
